My role:

I am the Library Specialist assigned to Librarian Elizabeth Choinski, Head of Science Library and Professor. I assist her with any and all projects and assignments she may have. On a daily basis, I make sure that our branch is opened and closed at the designated times and keep tabs on the condition of our facility and all its contents. One of my primary duties is the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of all Student Library Assistants. I, with the students’ assistance, provide guidance to patrons seeking to use our collection on-site, as well as both on-site and remote users of our digital collection. The students assist me with various duties associated with the circulation and upkeep of our collection. I also am responsible for keeping the needed office supplies in stock for faculty, staff, and student use.
