My role:
As Head of Research and Instruction Services I support teaching and learning at all levels with a team of librarians in the Department of Research and Instruction. I am the subject librarian to the departments of Applied Gerontology, Nutrition & Hospitality Management; Criminal Justice & Legal Studies, and Freshman/General Studies. I coordinate Ask a Librarian services and lead the library’s first year instruction initiative as well as work with the Common Reading Experience committee each year. My research involves student learning and user expectations in libraries, academic library outreach, and instructional design in library services.
