Historical Note
The first Library Letter was issued in June of 1983. The purpose of this newsletter was to provide information about the J.D. Williams Library’s contribution and expansion within the University of Mississippi and the state of Mississippi as well as to attract donors to become Friends of the Library and aid in the library’s progress. This newsletter was issued quarterly.

This collection contains preparation materials for the production of the Library Letter, a newsletter about the University of Mississippi libraries, and copies of the Library Letter that were issued.

The Library Letter Collection is open for research. Photographs have been removed from this collection and are stored at an off-site facility. Researchers interested in using this collection's photographs must contact Archives and Special Collections at least two business days in advance of their planned visit.
