Biographical Note

Catherine P. Stubbs Counseille (15 May 1857-10 March 1945) married Captain H. Thomas Counseille in Tennessee, 12 October 1836. During the Civil War, H. Thomas Conseille enlisted as a solider in the 2nd Mississippi Infantry, Company B and later served as Captain of the Cavalry of the 7th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. The couple lived in Ripley, Mississippi.
