Biographical Note

Margaret Countiss Harbison attended the University of Mississippi, graduating with a Bachelor of Art degree in 1963. Harbison was enrolled during the 1962 integration of the University.


Scope and Content Note

Collection contains exploded tear gas canister from the enrollment of James Meredith at the University of Mississippi. Also contains newspapers pertaining to the Civil Rights Movement and football memorabilia.
