Biographical Note

Thomas Ethridge was a journalist for several Mississippi newspapers from the 1940's-1960's. His most popular newspaper article was entitled "Mississippi Notebook." His sister Doris Currie-Ethridge was an aspiring poet and short story writer.


Scope and Content Note

The personal correspondence, newspaper articles and scrapbooks of Thomas Ethridge, who wrote for several Mississippi newspapers, and his sister Doris Currie-Ethridge. The majority of the correspondence is written by Doris Currie-Ethridge detailing her inspirations, anxiety and career. The scrapbooks contain clippings of Ethridge's articles.
