- Elijah Fleming was a student at the University of Mississippi circa 1859. This collection contains 21 tintypes, collected by Fleming, of University of Mississippi faculty and students, some of whom later enlisted in the "University Greys" of the 11th Mississippi Regiment, CSA.

Biographical Note
Elijah Fleming was a student at the University of Mississippi circa 1859. He fought in the Confederate Army and later farmed and taught school. He died in 1919.
Scope and Content
The collection contains 21 tintypes of University of Mississippi faculty and students, some of whom later enlisted in the "University Greys" of the 11th Mississippi Regiment, CSA.
