Material donated by William Gravely of the University of Denver. Gravely acquired the materials from Bernard Spilka, Professor of Psychology in Colorado. According to Gravely, Spilka obtained the materials from a Boulder, CO bookseller after L.L. Love's widow passed away.

Historical Note

L.L. (Leston Lewis) Love was the Dean of Students during the 1962 admission of James Meredith to the University of Mississippi. The publicity surrounding the integration of the institution brought forth an array of correspondence to university officials, some of which found their way to the desk of Dean Love.
