The scrapbook -- apparently created by a member of the Meek family -- documents the annual pilgrimage tour of antebellum homes in Columbus, Mississippi between 1940-1950. The materials affixed within are primarily newspaper clippings, ten photographs, and a few pieces of ephemera. Loose items were removed to the following folders.

Invitation to the [1913] commencement exercises of Fairmount College in Monteagle, TN (attached is the card of Miss Lucy Young Banks).

Invitation/program to the 1914 commencement exercises at Franklin High School in Columbus, MS (attached are the cards of Katharine Oliver McKinley and Miss Ida Frances Oliver).

Invitation to the 1915 commencement exercises at Franklin High School in Columbus, MS.

Wedding invitation of Mary Linda Harris to Dr. George Foster Tenison on July 21, 1915 in Nashville, TN.

Invitation to the 1917 commencement exercises at Newberry High School .

Wedding announcement for Besse Bielby Hall and James Harris Hardy in Jackson, MS on January 17, 1918.
