Abstract
The North Mississippi Women's History Project was administered by Dr. Elizabeth Payne, a professor of history at the University of Mississippi. The collection contains audio recordings of interviews with elderly women from North Mississippi, 2005-2006, describing various aspects of their lives. Also included is a partial transcript of one interview, a blank interview template, and a quiz from an African-American History class.

Historical Note

The North Mississippi Women's History Project was administered by Dr. Elizabeth Payne, a professor of history at the University of Mississippi. The project involved interviewing women in North Mississippi, mostly in Union County, to learn about their lives and experiences growing up in the region.
