-- Grace L. Duncan, The Chautauqua Booklet Calendar for 1896 (Syracuse, NY: c.1895).

Folder 5:
-- Handwritten manuscript in lined book, entitled "Life of Rev. James Angel Fox." Fox was the Episcopal rector of St. Alban's Church in or near Vicksburg. He died in 1881 at the age of 88 after serving in the diocese "more than half a century." Born in Connecticut in 1794, he moved to Mississippi a few years after graduating from Yale. Fox was very active at the state level in his church government, and established several schools. The document was apparently written by one of his offspring.

--Handwritten "Schoolgirl's Herbarium" in blank volume Index Rerum. Entries date from January 1870 -- 1873. Brief essays written in a variety of hands on various subjects. Each essay signed by a pseudonym based on botany; however, the first page lists the following names: W.R. Baker, Beulah Martin, Tillie Binger, Colie Powell, Nettie Goulsby, Ella Faucett, and W.W. Boyette.


OVERSIZED BOX:
-- Victorian scrapbook filled with decoupage images, mostly ladies, flowers, and fruit.
-- Bible inscribed "Henry M. Faser / June 25, 1908." Poor condition as binding has fallen apart.
