Historical Note

VOX Press, Inc. was founded as an independent literary journal in September 2004 by Louis E. Bourgeois, Max Bishop Hipp and J.E. Pitts. Since its inception, VOX Press
has published an assortment of books and journals, and has instituted the VOX Artist’s
Series, a series of artistic performances.


Scope and Content Note

The collection contains material related to VOX Press and the VOX poetry journal including copies of the published journals, drafts and original submissions,
and video. Also includes copies of The Daily Mississippian and Oxford Town.
