- William Strickland was a Professor of French at the University of Mississippi in the 1960s. His collection chiefly consists
of academic articles, newspaper clippings, and drafts of his autobiographical manuscript.

William Strickland was a professor of French at the University of Mississippi in the 1960s.
Scope and Content
The collection chiefly contains academic articles (not written by Strickland), newspaper clippings, and drafts of Strickland’s
autobiographical manuscript. Also included is an audio interview with James Meredith condicted by Dr. James Silver and a transcript
of the interview.
