Biographical Note

Historian and minister, Dr. James Allen Cabaniss received his B.D. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and his
Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He has written on church history and wrote A History of the University of Mississippi.


Scope and Content Note

Manuscripts & correspondence related to Allen Cabaniss’ historical research, including work on A History of the University of Mississippi, History of Presbyterianism in Mississippi and Charlemagne’s Cousins. Collection also contains various Cabaniss photographs and manuscripts from other historians.
