Created by Jim O’Neal, Amy van Singel, Bruce Iglauer, and Paul Garon, Living Blues magazine began publication in Chicago, Illinois in 1970. Ownership transferred to the University of Mississippi in 1982.

Acquisition Information

The University of Mississippi took over publication of Living Blues in 1982. Materials came from former editors Jim O’Neal and Amy van Singel, who helped start the magazine in Chicago in 1970.
