Scope and Content Note

The collection contains several boxes of material related to the civil rights movement and the integration of the University
of Mississippi, and several boxes of material related to William Faulkner. Civil rights materials include correspondence,
clippings, and miscellaneous other documents related to the integration of the University of Mississippi.

The Faulkner materials chiefly include periodicals with articles on Faulkner. Also included are programs from the Faulkner
and Yoknapatawhpha Conference at the University of Mississippi, some book reviews and promotional materials, and other items.
