Historical Note
Anne Rapp is a script supervisor. It is the script supervisor’s responsibility to maintain continuity and record all variations in the staging and filming of every scene in the making of a film. The camera shots, pans, focus pulls, lenses, anything the editor might need to know, and the director might need to know for reshoots. Besides the voluminous notebooks kept, with annotated scripts and cast lists, etc., very often polaroid continuity photographs are part of the materials accumulated in her profession.
In addition, Ms. Rapp “times” for writers and directors, reading their scripts and estimating the running time. Following is a list of the films on which Ms. Rapp has worked. Those in bold are in the collection:
Wyatt Earp
The Firm
Death Becomes Her
Grand Canyon
Billy Bathgate
Havana
I Love You To Death
Accidental Tourist
Things Change
Nadine
Places In The Heart
Crimes Of The Heart
Tender Mercies
Spinal Tap
Local Hero
The Color Purple
The Sure Thing

True Stories
Vibes
Noon Wine
(American Playhouse)
