Historical Note
The Nicholas Thompson home in Leasburg, N.C. was built in the early 1800s. The Thompson
family included Jacob Thompson, who represented Mississippi in the United States House
of Representatives from 1839-1850 and served as Secretary of the Interior from 1857-1861.
Scope and Content Note
The collection contains photographs and architectural plans of the Nicholas Thompson
home in Leasburg, N.C. Also included is information about various members of the Thompson
family.
