Biographical Note

Tyrus C. Gibbs, Sr. served in the United States Air Force as a pilot during World War II. While flying over Belgium, his plane was shot down and he was taken by the German military as a prisoner of war.


Scope and Content Note

The collection contains copies of photographs, a copy of a POW record and other ephemera.
