File Guidelines for Poster Printing

The IDEAlab accepts PDF or PNG files for poster printing. For alternate file formats, email idealab@lib.olemiss.edu for a consultation.

Ensure your file is sized to the final poster dimensions to prevent pixelation. For example, a 24"x36" poster file should be 24"x36". Review at 100% for clarity.

How to Resize PowerPoint

  1. Click on the Design tab and select custom sizing.
  2. Enter in the dimensions of the finished poster size.
  3. Please send a pdf version of this file for poster printing orders.

How to Resize Google Slides

  1. Go to the 'File' dropdown manu, loacted top left
  2. Select 'Page Setup,' enter custom dimensions and apply
To Save your poster, go to the 'File' dropdown menu, select download and save as a PDF. 

Who may use this service?

The poster printing service is available to OleMiss students, non-students, faculty and staff.

Payment is made to the IDEAlab at the time of service  Touchnet

Yes. Choose between matte or glossy. Other paper types — transparent, semi-gloss, and canvas — are available by special request.

Costs

Indicate whether the poster is a tax-free departmental charge or personal payment. Payment is made via Touchnet at the time of service. If charging a department, an invoice will be emailed with transfer instructions.

Common Poster Sizes and Prices

Prices reflect matte poster finish option

24" x 30" - $10.00 + tax

24" x 32" - $10.00 + tax

36" x 48" - $20.00 + tax

Custom Sizes

$5 per linear foot matte finish
$6 per linear foot glossy finish

Fri: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Printing Submission is open 24/7.

After-hours print submissions will be printed in order of submission the following business day.

Select ‘Ensure Fit’ and make sure to save your poster as a PDF from the ‘Save As…’ option,
not as a PDF for printing from the print menu (Command/Control P).
