At the University of Mississippi Libraries, we provide a wide range of technology and creative services to support academic and personal projects.
Whether you need to print a research paper, scan archival documents, or explore innovative tools like 3D printing, we’ve got you covered. Multiple print stations are available throughout the library for convenience, along with high-quality copying and scanning services.
For more advanced projects, STUDIOone offers access to audio and video production tools in a professional-grade workspace. Students and faculty can also take advantage of specialized software installed on library computers to support data analysis, graphic design, video editing, and more.

Print, Copy, and Scan
The University Libraries offer reliable and easy-to-use printing, copying, and scanning services for students, faculty, and staff. Print and copy jobs can be completed in black-and-white or color, and scanners are available for digitizing documents or images. These services are accessible using your Ole Miss WebID and are integrated with your student Bursar account or Ole Miss Express for payment. Assistance is available at service desks if you need help with equipment or settings.

IDEAlab
The IDEAlab is a collaborative space in the J.D. Williams Library that offers emerging technologies and tools to support innovation, research, and digital scholarship. Featuring 3D printing, large-format printing, virtual reality equipment, and high-powered workstations with creative software, the IDEAlab empowers students and faculty to experiment and create. Workshops and one-on-one consultations are available to help users turn their ideas into reality, whether for academic, research, or personal projects.

STUDIOone
STUDIOone is a fully equipped multimedia production studio available to the Ole Miss community. The space features video and audio recording tools, including lighting rigs, green screens, microphones, and editing software. It’s ideal for creating class projects, video essays, podcasts, and promotional materials. Studio use is free, but reservations are required. Staff are available to help with equipment setup and technical support during your session.

3D Printing
3D printing is available to support learning, research, and creative exploration at the University Libraries. Housed in the IDEAlab, our 3D printers allow users to prototype models, print custom tools, or create artistic projects. Patrons can submit designs in .STL format, receive print time and cost estimates, and consult with staff for design assistance. This service is open to all UM students, faculty, and staff, and aligns with the Libraries’ mission to foster innovation and hands-on learning.

Poster Printing
The University Libraries provide large-format poster printing services for academic presentations, conferences, and research events. Available through the IDEAlab, poster printing supports a variety of file formats and paper types. Students, faculty, and staff can submit designs and receive guidance on layout, formatting, and sizing. Affordable pricing and high-quality prints make this service an excellent resource for showcasing your work professionally.

Audio/Visual Equipment Loans
Need to record a podcast, conduct an interview, or capture high-quality video? The Libraries loan a range of audio and visual equipment, including cameras, tripods, microphones, and voice recorders. These items are available for checkout to students, faculty, and staff for academic or creative use. Equipment can be reserved in advance and borrowed from designated service desks. Basic instructions and support are also available to help you get started.

MacBook Air laptops are available for short-term checkout through the IDEAlab. Loans are limited to 3 days and are subject to availability.
