Request a Research Consultation

For in-depth research assistance, students, faculty, and staff can schedule a one-on-one consultation with a librarian. Research Consultations are ideal for help with complex assignments, thesis projects, literature reviews, or advanced database searching. Sessions can be conducted in person or online and are customized to your academic needs or discipline.

Archives Help

Need access to rare materials, historical documents, or University of Mississippi history? The Department of Archives & Special Collections provides research assistance for archival materials housed in the J.D. Williams Library. Staff can help you locate manuscripts, photographs, maps, and university records. While brief questions are welcome, more complex research may require an in-person visit or referral to local researchers for hire.
