First Floor Scattered Study Areas

Amenities: Big tables, Computers, Group study, Outlets, Small tables, Soft furniture, Study carrels.

Space Type: Study Space

Noise Level: Talking

  • Enter from the West (fountain) side or come down the stairs from the second floor east (Lyceum) side.

Group Work Cubicles in the Information Commons

Amenities: Big tables, Computers, Group study cubicles, Outlets, Printer, Projection TV.

Space Type: Study Space

Noise Level: Talking

  • Enter from the West (fountain) side, or navigate through Ainsworth Commons.

Group Work Cubicles in the Ainsworth Commons

Amenities: Big tables, Computers, Group study, Outlets, Printer, Small tables, Soft furniture, Study carrels.

  • Enter on the west (fountain) side or, from the east (Lyceum) entrance on the second floor, go down the stairs and turn right.

Map Room Study Area

  • Navigate through Information Commons and Ainsworth Commons to find the Map Room.

Baxter Room

Amenities: Big tables, Computers, Group study, Natural light, Outlets, Printer, Small tables, Soft furniture.

  • Enter from the West (fountain) side, go through Exhibit Hall, turn left at Starbucks.

Private Study Carrels

Individual study carrels are available to current faculty and graduate students ONLY. Faculty carrels will no longer be issued to emeritus faculty.

The private carrels are located on the 2nd Floor, 3rd Floor and the Mezzanines. They are small, but are closed with a locking door. Each carrel has a desk, chair and bookshelf for storage.
